Camp Accolade, held July 16-27, 2018, on HCA campus, is a two-week day camp for children who struggle with emotional and behavioral disorders. The camp offers children who have previously been unsuccessful in typical summer camp settings because of their behavior the opportunity to enjoy a safe, structured, empowering experience. The camp works on bonding with others, thinking about others socially, and self-control. But the main purpose is having fun doing typical camp activities such as games, swimming, and crafts. The themes this year will be a week of Space and a week of Spies. Most staff is North Carolina Interventions trained and experienced with reactive children. Camp is $500 per week, or $900 for both weeks. A deposit of $100 will hold your child’s spot. HCA teacher Taylor Miller will direct this camp.
Contact Taylor Miller at rtaylorm@gmail.com for registration form. $100 deposit should be made out to Hope Creek Academy.
