Middle School Co-Teacher
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Middle School Special Education Teacher at Hope Creek Academy. As a Middle School Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to neurodivergent students in grades 6-8. Your day-to-day tasks will include creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other teachers and staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Experience in teaching middle school students with disabilities
Expertise in special education practices and strategies
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and their implementation
Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Understanding of different communication and behavior management techniques
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
