Please join us at Steel String Brewery’s Pluck Farm “Beer & Banjos” event! They will be donating a portion of all evening sales to Hope Creek, in addition to taking extra donations at checkout and allowing us to set up a table at the event. This event is open to the community, so please invite your neighbors, friends, and co-workers to come out and enjoy the fun.
Location: Pluck Farm 6901 NC-54 West, Mebane, NC 27302
Time: November 18th, 3-6 pm (The farm is open and you are welcome between 1-8 pm that day. Our table will be there from 3-6 pm. Ms. Houser and Shawn Curtis will introduce the school and say a few words before the music begins at 4 pm)
What you need to know:
Pluck Farm is home to Steel String Brewery’s production facility. The farm has a beer garden, walking trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, lawn games, and a playground. It’s a wide open space and is a family- & dog-friendly outdoor venue.
For those with sensory sensitivities, Andrew said the banjo music will not be too loud, but you can wander out away from the beer garden pavilion for quieter space, or ask a bartender and they will allow you to use an office if needed.
The farm area is located on Highway 54 and it is set back about as far as the school is from Erwin Road, and there is a pond out in the wooded area. It should not be a safety concern for most, but be aware if your child is prone to wander.
It is a dog-friendly venue, so be aware that there may be animals around.
The Tasty Turkey Que food truck will be there. Meals are $15-20 per person and they have vegetarian options. You can order ahead using this link. The only food available is bags of chips and LocoPops, so bring a snack if your child needs safe options.
